Rightside Routing logs real house numbers on the right curb as you drive or draw. This page is the in-app playbook — we update it as the app improves.

What’s new

  • Lift. List → Import → Lift. Point the camera at a WM Customer Orders screen (or any numbered list) and scroll. Unique addresses land in order. The chip says missed 779 if a stop number skipped. Notes are optional.
  • Always location. Start live drive asks for Location → Always so houses keep logging when the phone is locked or in your pocket.
  • Print from Saved. Printer icon on a saved drive, or Print in Creator. Pick line / pins / numbers / border on that sheet — not on the live map.
  • Share. Saved → Share copies a short import code. Paste it on the other phone under Saved → Import code. No extra links.

Drive mode

Start a live drive, wait until the heading is confirmed, then keep the phone on the windshield. The app only adds a house when it is a real building on the right of the locked path.

  1. Tap Start live drive. Allow Location Always so logging continues in your pocket.
  2. Roll ~10 m straight. Nothing is added until the path is confirmed.
  3. Then it logs every real house on the right as you pass — crawl cul-de-sacs slowly.
  4. After a turn it holds, locks the new heading, then backfills that curb only.
  5. Pause when you stop, back up, or need to fix the list. Pause confirms the right-curb ghosts that already belong on that line. Resume starts a new line from where you are — the list stays.
  • Backing. Reverse does not log — only forward (status: “Backing — not logging”). Forward again and it continues.
  • Flag lots. Gold ghosts stay until you tap them. Off in Settings skips them.
  • Missed a house? Pause, zoom in, tap the building. Resume continues the drive.
  • Wrong pin? Tap the red X on the list, or the pin on the map.
  • Lock the phone. GPS stays on for that drive. Hard-close opens paused — tap Start again. Pause is only the red button.
  • Commercial. Drop a pin at each stop. Inside a stop: 1A, 1B.

Creator mode

Draw a route by hand when you are not driving. Swipe the right curb — houses pin if your line crosses them. Undo removes that whole swipe. Snap stays on the street; turn Snap off if it fights a crossing.

  1. Open Creator → Draw.
  2. Use Move to pan. Use Draw only when you mean to add the route.
  3. Swipe houses in order, or tap one at a time. Flag lots: tap the house.
  4. Border → Auto (or Box) for a print frame. Label sits in the corner.
  5. Save at the top. Print opens the print sheet.

Save, print, share

  • Save / Update / Duplicate live in Saved. Duplicate is a library copy. Update writes over the open drive.
  • Replay plays the route full screen. Speed ½× / 1× / 2×. Jump street by street. Pins appear in the order they were drawn.
  • Guide uses your GPS as the playhead. Pause the live drive first, or open a saved drive → Guide.
  • Share copies an import code to the clipboard. The other phone: Saved → Import code → Open.
  • Print from Saved (printer icon) or Creator → Print. Fit to route or border. Line, pins, numbers, and pin size are on that sheet.
  • Lift is under List → Import. Scroll a dispatch list; confirm; duplicates on the current map are thrown out.
